ALCOS FOOD PLANTS
About us
From the very beginning, our mission has been clear: to design and build reliable machines and plants for the food industry, capable of ensuring safety, production continuity, and consistent quality over time.
Alcos Food Plants' roots
Alcos Food Plants was founded in 1981 as an evolution of the experience and know-how of COMACO, a historic name in Made in Italy packaging.
Starting from a business highly specialized in food packaging, Alcos has built up solid expertise in hot filling and aseptic filling over the years, establishing itself as a technical partner for food producers who cannot afford mistakes.
Meeting the challenges of the industrial market
As the food sector evolved, producers’ needs became increasingly complex: stricter hygiene standards, greater attention to microbiological safety, integration between processing and packaging, and reduced operating times and costs.
The challenge for Alcos was clear: how to continue delivering reliable, tailor-made solutions while maintaining flexibility and technical control? The answer was to invest in engineering, innovation, and people.
Over the years, we have broadened our expertise, developing increasingly advanced solutions and complementing the Packaging division with a dedicated Food Processing Division focused on processing lines for vegetables, fruit, dairy, and other food products.
Innovation and technological leadership
Over time, research and development has become an integral part of the Alcos method. This has led us to introduce innovative solutions in food packaging, progressively moving beyond traditional technical models.
Among the first in the sector, Alcos applied electronics to volumetric and vacuum fillers, rethought machine feeding systems—shifting from vertical to horizontal—and designed fully sanitizable solutions.
The expansion of our technological expertise has allowed us to extend our offering to the development of processing and filling technologies as well, particularly in the heat treatment of food products and in aseptic filling applied to various packaging formats—from bag-in-drum to bag-in-box, through to plastic bottles and containers—thanks in part to collaborations with international partners.
